Foulger Wins R. Charles Snyder Salute
At Southern Oregon Speedway

White City, Oregon...September 3...Troy Foulger won the 50 lap R. Charls Snyder Salute for IMCA Modifieds Sunday night at Southern Oregon Speedway.  The win paid $5,000 to Foulger aboard the Bowers Racing Modified, and this was the biggest win of his career.  Bobby Hogge IV won the eight lap Scramble to earn the pole for the Main Event, but then he spun on the start for a yellow flag.  With Hogge now back in 22nd, Jeremy Richey raced into the lead on the restart.  Troy Foulger settled into second on lap 4 and began to go to work trying to move underhand Richey for the lead.  Foulger raced by Richey for the lead on lap 25.  Foulger led through four yellow flags for the rich victory.  Mark Wauge was a strong second.  Hogge made a late charge to finish third ahead of Richey and Nick Trenchard.  Chase Nieman won the first 15 lap B Main ahead of Curtis Towns.  Jake Mayden won the second B Main comfortably ahead of Matt Murphy.

Travis Snyder and his family were on hand as the scoring tower was officially dedicated to his father.  It will now be known as the R. Charles Snyder Memorial Race Tower.     Snyder announced at both Southern Oregon Speedway and the old Medford Raceway for many years.  Charles was also a popular Radio DJ for over 40 years.

Jorddon Braaten scored a $1,350 victory in the 30 lap IMCA Sport Modified Main Event.  After two restarts, Rich McCoy raced into the lead with Braaten in close pursuit.  Braaten was attempting a pass on McCoy on lap 14 when a yellow flag flew for Issac Sanders.  The battle continued on the restart, and Braaten made an outside pass in Turn 4 of the 17th lap to take the lead from McCoy.  Once in front, Braaten led the rest of he way for the big win.  Alan Furuta made a last turn pass on Jayson Nelson for second as Cory Biggs and Mike Medel completed the Top 5.  Keith Brown Jr. won the 20 lap B Main ahead of Randy Wright and Isaac Sanders.

Mason Lewman won his first 20 lap SODCA Dwarf Car Main Event of the season.  Lewman also collected $1,000 for the victory.  Kalvin Morton chased Chad Cardoza for eight laps before making an outside pass on the front stretch to grab the lead.  Lewman made a low pass in Turn 4 of the 13th lap to take the lead from Morton.  Morton and Lewman touched in Turn 3 on the final lap and got sideways.  Josh King made a move on the two cars and passed Morton.  However, Lewman held on to win ahead of King, Morton, Randy Slater and Doug McVae.
